I'm rather taken by the thick and thin lines used here and the little facial dots applied. Is this all with the same pen, and actually what pen are you using? I'm still avoiding brushes for their difficult control but alternative brushpens are a great choice for me.
Thank you :D, it means a lot coming from you as I really like how expressive your work is ^.^
As for the pen, yes it is just one pen that I was using. I was using microns before but had to switch between pen sizes a lot to create thicker and thinner lines. Went to Joannes the other day in the art section and found PITT pens. I am currently using a Faber Castell PITT pen with the letter B at the end. They had a few others in gray as well in a small set. Very much like brush pens, but not sure if there is a difference between a pitt pen and brush pen.
I picked it up just to test some stuff and was actually really happy with the results to vary line weight.
Well... far out! I'm rather tickled at your compliment and am quite grateful for your appreciation! :) I've checked out Dick Blick and will be ordering a package of the black pens to try 'em on for size. I've got one brushpen I use quite a bit but am interested in exploring further for better items. Many thanks for the insight!

Lots of emotion in the little sketch. *hugs* Lovely work.

It does have a greeting-card feel to it, which I'm guessing was the intention. Plus the all-important, diffusing cute-factor.

Ah! I love the Pitt brushpens! They're such fun to play with. And I'll agree that the expression is effective and priceless. Cute, and yet so sad.
